Located right in the heart of the Warehouse District in Canton, Ohio is the Food Justice Campus. In addition to housing several other food businesses, a future grocery store, some indoor urban farms, and StarkFresh’s headquarters there are shared offices, a community room and a shared kitchen that are available to lease.
Above it all sits our cooperative housing space. Complete with vibrant murals, and a fully furnished interior this large three bedroom apartment space is available for usage by StarkFresh interns or other StarkFresh partners, such as by our Farm or Grocery Store management.
There are many affordable housing options for someone who is reentering society, many times when an individual is ready to take the next step in the reentry process, those options may prove to no longer be available. This space is used as needed to house individuals who are part of StarkFresh programming in some way. When not in use, this unique space is available to rent through popular sites such as Airbnb and hip camp.
The apartment has a completely separate entrance from the rest of the Campus and comes fully furnished with High-Speed Broadband WIFI and a private office space.
In addition to being a extension of the kitchen through cooking classes and pop-up restaurant tastings, the space also serves as a good room to hold medium to large public meetings, serves as a space for documentary educational film screenings and the perfect place to hold a class or workshop by one of our many Campus and community partners.
