Come on down and lend a hand as we complete some much-needed tasks at our Food Justice Campus.
We welcome volunteers between 10am-4pm on Monday, January 20th.
Volunteers will help us:
• Sort seed packets for our Seed Library Program https://starkfresh.org/seed-library/
• Clean chairs and tables to be used in the Community Room https://starkfresh.org/community-room-2/
• Touch up paint on chair legs for use in the Community Room
• Painting of walls at the site of the future StarkFresh Grocery Store https://starkfresh.org/grocery-store/
• Painting basement walls
Depending on temperature and weather, they may be some additional outside tasks to assist with. Please RSVP via text to 330-353-8793.
Come for an hour or stay all day! Come dressed for work. Water and work gloves will be provided. Individuals and groups of all sizes are welcome to help out.
The Martin Luther King Jr. holiday on Jan. 20, 2020, marks the 25th anniversary of the day of service that celebrates the Civil Rights leader’s life and legacy. Observed each year on the third Monday in January as “a day on, not a day off,” MLK Day is the only federal holiday designated as a national day of service to encourage all Americans to volunteer to improve their communities.
