Volunteering Opportunities
There are many ongoing opportunities for you to help us in our mission to fight hunger & poverty.
These are broken down into several categories below. Most of these opportunities are for longer-term, recurring scheduled volunteering.
Neighborhood Grocery Stores
Our Neighborhood Grocery Stores are full-service stores designed to handle all the food access needs of the residents who live and work near the stores. To help keep prices affordable and accessible, we rely on volunteers to help us keep our store running smoothly!

What How long How frequently?
Walk-in cooler/freezer cleaning 1-2 hours/week M-F, anytime 9am-5pm
Data Entry & invoicing of monthly sales 2-6 hours/month flexible, M-F 9am-5pm
Produce Auction bidding and pickup 4-7 hrs/wk Summer, Mondays 12pm-end
Driving to pick up Food/Make deliveries 3-4 hours/week Monday, Tuesday, Thursday
Kitchen help 3-6 hours/week/day Mondays 10am-4pm
Food Justice Campus
Our Food Justice Campus serves as our hub where most of our programming takes place to create pathways out of poverty for our community. Many parts are moving daily to ensure everything is running efficiently, and volunteers are our lifeblood.

Computer system updates 2-6 hours/quarter 1 day/month each quarter
Kitchen food prep help 3-6 hours/week Mondays 10am-4pm
Table help for events 2.5-6 hours/event varies with event
Deep cleaning of kitchen 3-6 hours/month when kitchen not being used
Office cleaning 30-60 minutes/month any day, M-F 9am-5pm
Carpet and chair shampooing 2-3 hours/month any day, M-F 9am-5pm
Painting (Muraling) 2-10 hours/week any day M-F 9am-5pm
